Welcome to Lord of the Mountains!

Outreach

The goal of our outreach ministry is compassionate outreach.  We are committed to intentionally planning and organizing ways to reach out to the world and our community, especially with our "second" offering received the last Sunday of each month.  These funds help support local, statewide and world wide needs.

LOTM is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and gives 5% of its regular annual budget to the world-wide ministry of the ELCA.

In 2008 our "second offerings" have generously supported the following:

Building homes in Manchay, Peru;
Support for an orphanage and senior center in Jeremie, Haiti
Casas Por Christo building project in Juarez, Mexico
Food Bank and Family Intercultural Resource Center in Summit County
Community Care Clinic in Summit County

Donations to the Food Bank are always welcomed and can be placed in the receptacle in the narthex.  Special needs are diapers, peanut butter and tuna.  Cash is always welcomed.  Your check, made out to LOTM and noted "FIRC" on the memo line, can be placed in the offering or sent in to the church.
